Jay-Z Mix

Jay-Z Mix
[desc]Regardless of how you feel about his music, you can’t deny the depth of the man’s catalog. 11 studio albums, 4 collaborative albums, 2 live albums, a soundtrack, 4 mixtapes and 6 compilations. All boiled down to the very best by Ace. He is the definition of success in the rap game, and for no other reason than that you have to respect him. Plus he isn’t going broke paying child support and alimony. Jigga won. [/desc]

Well snap…

This has been a crazy month for music on all levels. Kendrick Lamar helps people remember that the West Coast makes great music, Meek Mill is has an album that might be the best MMG release to date. Wiz dropped Cabin Fever 2, Yo Gotti dropped a pretty mix tape himself. And I have to digest all this music, but I was in the lab cooking up mixes! WCW 13, and Ignorant 25 were a direct result of all these new releases (Ignorant 24 had a lot of Wiz and Juicy J on so they are missing from 25) WCW 13 has the whole TDE movement on it, so if you ain’t heard the new west sound peep it out.

Pop Mix 5

[desc]While you’re over there looking hard in the corner, I’ll be over here dry humping the s**t our of your girl. Cause I’m drunk, and this music makes me wan’t to dance. And I’m not an insecure b***h ass dude who can’t have some fun when that poppy rap comes on. Your girl smells like fish sauce by the way.[/desc]

Whatta day!

A smooth day for fans of the knock.. Wiz’ Cabin Fever 2 dropped today, and while I enjoy Wiz it was really the Juicy J features that made the mixtape special. There were a few other singles that were out there as well in the least week or so, which made it impossible for me to step away from the ignorance for too long. Don’t worry I have another poppy mix on the burner soon and I am sure a new artist mix or two will show up as well..

Enjoy

Mannie Fresh Mix

Mannie Fresh Mix
[desc]These days Cash Money gets by on the hairy back of Nicki Minaaj and the smoothly shaved back of Drake. But there would be no label at all without Mannie Fresh, who gave CMR it’s sound and produced so many hits it felt like a new Cash Money single was on the radio every week. [/desc]

LA Backpack Mix

[desc]It’s 1993 and Dre and Snoop have you convinced that there is nothing else to life than shooting people in the face and having sex with their still grieving widows. Then Tha Liks’ drop 21 and Over. It sounded like nothing else on the coast at the time. King Tee, Xzibit, Dilated Peoples and a handful more rounded out the movement that gave us a distinct blend between East Coast lyrical sensibilities and West Coast production vibe. [/desc]
